Brooklyn Lodge has the opportunity to participate in something new and exciting to help "give something back" to the community. Brother Mark Geihsler has been working furiously to put together what is sure to become a landmark event in Forney. In the spirit of the season, Mark is putting together a Christmas Toy "Fun" Run, which is a motorcycle and classic car parade through Forney with the goal of collecting toys for local needy families. In concert with local businesses and Forney ISD, a route has been put together that will allow riders to drop off their toys at Fat Dawgs (eastbound Hwy 80 in Forney), get a hot breakfast, and participate in a 3-4 mile long parade ending at Warren Middle School where refreshments will be waiting. Brooklyn Lodge will be providing man-power at the starting and stopping points and helping to distribute the toys after the event.
The event is Sunday, December 13th. Registration is from 8:00am - 12:00pm, and the ride will be from 12:00pm - 1:00pm.
This is an incredibly exciting event and will help Brooklyn Lodge to help lots of needy families in the area with a wonderful gift of toys this Christmas season.
Please spread the word to all of your bike rider and classic car friends!

At the November Stated Meeting, Brother Bill O'Brien received a 50-year service pin for his continued support of The Craft. R.W. Jim Berry, District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District 13 was onhand to give the honors. Worshipful Master Jim Lambright opened the proceedings, and after a ceremonial prayer by the Chaplain, the show was turned over to Jim Berry who presented Brother O'Brien with his pin in Grand Lodge fashion and seated him in a seat of honor next to the Worshipful Master in the East.
We look forward to many more years of service in The Craft from our honored brother. Be sure to congratulate him when you see him.
